Blue Tit

Blue tits were the second most-counted bird in the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch 2026, after the house sparrow. They are quick to find a feeder and quick to move into a nest box.

A pair can raise ten or more chicks, timed to the short spring flush of caterpillars on oak trees.
